If you are looking for in-home care for your pets and want peace of mind when you can’t be there, a professional pet sitter may be a great option. A pet sitter cares for your pets in your home when you are on vacation, working long hours, or just simply need someone to provide exercise and companionship to your pets! Pet sitters are great for senior citizens or those with mobility issues who require care for their pets.
While some pets love the excitement of making new friends at a kennel, others prefer the familiar comfort and routine of home. Some pets due to their age, health conditions, or temperament are not well suited to a kennel environment. Leaving your pet in their own home has many benefits including maintaining the pets routine in their own environment, minimal stress, no travel time required on your part transporting your pet to/from a kennel or a friend’s house, and exposure to diseases and risk of injury is minimized. Cats especially seem to prefer the familiarity of home. Pet sitting provides the opportunity for the pet sitter to give ample individual attention to each pet. Having someone visit your home on a regular basis also provides additional security and insurance compliancy.

Services are offered in the Town of High River. Unfortunately at this time I am unable to provide services outside of town limits.
Services can be provided in any type of accommodation, including senior residential homes!
I am happy to care for pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities and have experience with a variety of pets including small animals, and urban chickens. However, for everyone’s safety and liability reasons, I will not care for animals with a history of aggression towards people. As well, due to insurance restrictions, I am unfortunately not able to provide care for parrots at this time.
Absolutely! I understand how important it is to receive regular updates about your pet while you are away. You will receive daily updates by text, e-mail, or phone calls and are welcome to contact me at anytime should you want to check in! (I will even arrange FaceTime between you and your pet if you like!). I kindly ask that you update me when you get home so I know your pet is back in your loving care.
I recommend you provide two keys or one key and a garage/entry code, so I have a backup in case of an emergency. Your key is marked in a way that does not identify it with your home and is stored in a safe.
Cash, cheque, e-transfer, or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) are accepted. Payment for services is due upon receipt of invoice. You will be given the option to add a $1.00 to your invoice for the Change for Critters program with all proceeds going directly to Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).
I do not overbook so when you schedule a service that time is reserved exclusively for you and your pet. I kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hour notice to cancel a service, otherwise regular charges may apply.
