Why should I use a professional pet sitter?

If you are looking for in-home care for your pets and want peace of mind when you can’t be there, a professional pet sitter may be a great option. A pet sitter cares for your pets in your home when you are on vacation, working long hours, or just simply need someone to provide exercise and companionship to your pets! Pet sitters are great for senior citizens or those with mobility issues who require care for their pets.

While some pets love the excitement of making new friends at a kennel, others prefer the familiar comfort and routine of home. Some pets due to their age, health conditions, or temperament are not well suited to a kennel environment. Leaving your pet in their own home has many benefits including maintaining the pets routine in their own environment, minimal stress, no travel time required on your part transporting your pet to/from a kennel or a friend’s house, and exposure to diseases and risk of injury is minimized. Cats especially seem to prefer the familiarity of home. Pet sitting provides the opportunity for the pet sitter to give ample individual attention to each pet. Having someone visit your home on a regular basis also provides additional security and insurance compliancy.

wait until you hire an amateur”

What kind of animals do you care for?

I am happy to care for pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities and have experience with a variety of pets including small animals, and urban chickens. However, for everyone’s safety and liability reasons, I will not care for animals with a history of aggression towards people. As well, due to insurance restrictions, I am unfortunately not able to provide care for parrots at this time.

Will I receive regular updates about my pet?

Absolutely! I understand how important it is to receive regular updates about your pet while you are away. You will receive daily updates by text, e-mail, or phone calls and are welcome to contact me at anytime should you want to check in! (I will even arrange FaceTime between you and your pet if you like!). I kindly ask that you update me when you get home so I know your pet is back in your loving care.

Do I need to provide you with two keys? How are my keys stored?

I recommend you provide two keys or one key and a garage/entry code, so I have a backup in case of an emergency. Your key is marked in a way that does not identify it with your home and is stored in a safe.

What People Are Saying

Jason

Cassandra was just great with our 2 boys when we were gone for a weeks time. They are bulldogs and are a little different if you know the breed but she was just fantastic with them both! ! Thanks Cassandra and if anyone ever wants more info please don't hesitate to contact me through Facebook and I'll be happy to talk with you about our experience with a Jungle Out There! Highly recommend her.

Victoria

We are grateful for the wonderful care Saami and Jack received. We were able to enjoy our day in the mountains knowing they were getting Cassandra's reliable attention.

Richelle

I had Cassandra come to my home to cut my dogs nails I had assured her that both were excellent and wouldn't fuss since they never did with me. However once she started cutting my beagles nails he started howling the entire time right in her face, didn't struggle just yelled at her needless to say I was little embarrassed. Cassandra though wasn't fazed and anyone who has a beagle will know how deafening that bay is. She just laughed it off and got his nails done. She was great with both my dogs. Would recommend Cassandra anytime!!!!

Lee-Anne

Cassandra, you did such a fabulous job of looking after Buddy ( our budgie) and Flopsy ( our bunny) while we were away. Regular updates let us know that they were as happy there as at home. That took a lot of worry off our plate and we appreciated all your care of them. Even their Christmas treats! Thank you!

Deanna

Cassandra is amazing with animals, she really cares about your pets as much as you do! I was very relaxed knowing that my animals were in good hands. I would & do recommend her on a regular basis. She offers so many great services...give her a call!
