My name is Cassandra Kirkpatrick and I’m the Owner/Operator of Jungle Out There Pet Services.
I started this business in September 2015 to fulfill a need in High River for professional in-home pet care services.
As far back as I can remember I have always adored animals. I was blessed to be born into a family that shared this passion and taught me to respect animals from a young age. Any animal who found his way into our home had a home for life.

It seemed natural to pursue my love for animals so in university I earned a BSA, majoring in Animal Science. I obtained extensive knowledge of domestic animals and had many opportunities to work hands-on with small and large animals.
Since graduating, I have enjoyed working with poultry and cattle farms in Southern Alberta. During this time I gained valuable hands-on experience working with commercial and urban chickens earning myself the nickname “Super Chicken Girl!”. I am passionate about promoting the humane treatment of all animals and in 2013 I became a certified Poultry Welfare Auditor through PAACO.
Over the years, I have had many amazing opportunities to gain experience with a variety of animals and have become an animal advocate. These experiences include volunteering at a vet clinic, working at daycare/boarding facilities, and volunteering at the Lethbridge and District Humane Society in various roles. Rescue work is near and dear to my heart.
Since 2011, my husband and I have lived in the beautiful Town of High River with our 4 dogs, 3 chickens, and 1 giant rabbit. When I’m not busy with the business or taking care of our own zoo, I enjoy being active in the community. I am involved with several amazing organizations in the area including the Perfect Paws 4-H Club, Alberta Farm Animal Care, Literacy for Life Dog Tales program, and Pet Therapy at the High River Hospital.
I understand your pets are a member of your family and it gives you peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving the same affection, love, and care that you provide them. I have a soft spot for special needs pets and have experience with post-surgical care, allergies, administering eye and ear drops, cleaning wounds, special diets (including raw), finicky eaters, handling emergencies, administering fluids and injections, and handling complex medication schedules. You can rest assured knowing that your pet will be given the very best care while you are away!
I look forward to meeting you and your pet!
